Stash is available for Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. Install it from your browser's extension store:

Search for "Stash Bookmarks" and click the install button. Once installed, you'll see the Stash icon in your browser toolbar. Click it to open the extension and start organizing your bookmarks.

Stash sends your bookmark titles and URLs to the AI provider you configure (such as Google Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter) using your own API key. The AI analyzes each bookmark and suggests a folder category. Your API key and bookmarks are never stored on our servers — everything is processed directly between your browser and the AI provider.

First, double-check that your API key is entered correctly with no extra spaces. Make sure your key is still active and has available credits on your AI provider's dashboard.

AI categorization is smart but not always perfect. If you notice miscategorized bookmarks, you can drag them to the correct folder manually, or try running the scan again with a different AI provider.

The most common reasons for inaccurate results:

• The bookmark has a vague or generic title (e.g. "Home," "Dashboard," "Welcome") — renaming it before scanning can help
• The website doesn't publish meta description tags, so the AI has less context to work with
• The website buries its meta information deep in the page where it can't be efficiently retrieved (YouTube pages are a common example)
